Women's Soccer Drops Match at San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO— Thursday night saw a rough outing for the UC Riverside Women's Soccer Team which fell 5-0 on the road to host San Francisco. This was just the second time this season the Highlanders suffered a shutout.

The Dons were strong offensively scoring three goals in the first 13 minutes to take a commanding lead, but the Highlanders would find their footing, holding the team scoreless for the rest of the half.

USF would scatter another pair of goals in the second half to take the match 5-0.

The Highlanders took their chances on offense notching seven total shots, but only one would find the frame off the foot sophomore Jennifer Barroso. On the defensive end, senior Annie Bailey added four saves on the night.

UCR will look to bounce back this Sunday as the team meets Houston in a neutral site matchup at Cal State Fullerton.
