Riverside, Calif. – The University of California, Riverside Highlanders women's tennis team opened the season on the road in a match against San Diego State University. In the Highlander's first match in over a year, they fell to SDSU 0-7.



Head Coach Mark Henry said "It's always tough to lose 7-0, but the team really played well. For our first match in a year I'm very pleased with the effort and competitiveness in both singles and doubles."



UC Riversides next match is against Cal Poly on March 12 at home at the SRC Tennis Courts at 1:30 PM.
