RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Highlanders were defeated in straight sets by Hawai'i, 21-25, 19-25, 16-25, as UC Riverside fell to .500 on its home court in Big West Conference play Thursday night at SRC Arena.

Deja Bickers had a team-high and career-high 12 kills against the Rainbow Wahine, while setter
Zoey Seput added 7 digs and 25 assists for UC Riverside.
Thursday's result takes the all-time result to 25-0 in favor of Hawai'i (4-5, 1-0 Big West), which has not lost a set to UCR since going down 0-2 at SRC Arena on Sept. 3, 2017.
The Highlanders (4-8, 0-2 Big West) have a week before their next match, when they travel to UC San Diego to continue Big West play Friday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m., followed by UC Irvine on the road Saturday, Oct. 2, at 5 p.m.
