RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside turned in a commanding 7-0 sweep of Hope International on Thursday afternoon at the SRC Tennis Courts. 

Freshmen Justin Lamy and Ryan Hyunh teamed up on court three in doubles play to grind out a 7-5 win. Daniel Velek and Joshua Roth claimed a 6-3 win on one before Andreas Whelan-Merediz and Antreas Djakouris clinched the doubles point on two. 

Velek remains unbeaten on the year in doubles competition. 

The Highlanders rolled through singles play with straight-set wins on all six courts. Lamy and Hyunh picked up their first collegiate singles wins in dual play, winning 6-2, 6-2 on court four and 6-1, 6-1 on court six, respectively. Andreas Whelan-Merediz ran his singles unbeaten run to three matches with a quick 6-0, 6-1 win on court five.

UC Riverside is back on the court on Tuesday, February 15 with a 3:00 p.m. match against Concordia.
