RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside continued its season-long seven game home stand on Saturday morning at the SRC Tennis Courts, falling 5-0 to Grand Canyon.Â
Mahli Silpachai returned to the court after being forced to retire, teaming up with Hanh Pham on court one in the morning's doubles session.Â
Niki Shahbazi continued to impress early in her debut season for UCR, holding a 6-1, 4-4 advantage on court five before the match was abandoned. Sydney Tran also held a lead in her singles match prior to abandonment, 7-6, 1-0 on court six.Â
UCR returns to action on Sunday, February 6 to open Big West play at the SRC Tennis Courts. First serve is set for 11:00 a.m.
