RIVERSIDE, Calif.. - UC Riverside made it a clean sweep for the second straight match on Tuesday afternoon at the SRC Tennis Courts, blanking Villanova 7-0. 

All three of the Highlanders' wins this season have now been sweeps. 

Andreas-Whelan Merediz and Justin Lamy opened doubles play with a 6-2 win on court two before Daniel Velek and Nolan McCaig secured UCR's doubles point with a 6-2 triumph of their own on court one. 

UC Riverside came out strong in singles play, as Joshua Roth was the first Highlander to claim a singles point with a 6-1, 6-2 win on court four. Velek gave UCR the 2-0 advantage from court three with a 6-4, 6-1 victory. 

Aarav Sane battled on court six, falling behind 1-6 before willing his way to a 1-6, 7-5, 11-9 win. 

UCR is back on the courts on Friday, March 6 when the Highlanders host Grand Canyon at the SRC Tennis Courts.
