RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside closed out the regular season on Saturday evening at the SRC Arena with a 66-61 Senior Night win over Long Beach State. 

The win snapped a three-game skid to the Beach. 

UCR jumped out to a 20-5 at the end of the first quarter after Olivia West buried a corner three with time winding down. The Highlanders went wire to wire in the first half, shooting 53.3 percent in the first frame and 46.4 percent at the break. UC Riverside held an 11-0 advantage on the Beach in second chance points and 15-5 in bench points. 

Jada Holland scored 12 of her 14 points in the first half.  UC Riverside came out of halftime on an 8-2 run, opening up a 19-point lead. 

Matehya Bryant scored a career-high 19 points on a perfect 6 of 6 from the field while grabbing four rebounds, while Keilanei Cooper put up 12 points in her final game at the SRC Arena. 

Mele Finau finished with five points and five rebounds, but none more clutch than a pair of free throws with two seconds remaining to ice UCR's seventh consecutive win. 

UCR now heads to next week's Big West Tournament at the Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nevada.
