Box Score RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Daniel Velek continued his unbeaten run in doubles play, but UC Riverside fell 5-2 to Utah State on Wednesday at the SRC Tennis Courts. 
 
The veteran/freshman combo of Velek and Aarav Sane grabbed a 5-3 win on court two, but UCR could not pick up the doubles win against the Aggies. Velek turned it around in singles with a straight set 6-2, 6-3 win on court two. 
 
Andreas Whelan-Merediz picked up UCR's other singles win, a 6-3, 6-2 victory on court five. 
 
Joshua Roth battled on three, taking a one-set advantage before going further in sets two and three.
 
UC Riverside is back in action on Thursday, March 10 against Gonzaga at 9:00 a.m.
