Men's Golf Finishes Play at Nick Watney

KINGSBURG, Calif. - The UC Riverside men's golf team finished its first tournament of the new season on Tuesday afternoon at the Nick Watney Invitational, placing 16th out of 16 teams at the Kings River Golf & Country Club.Â
Josh Hu jumped two spots into the top 10 on the final leaderboard after carding a 70 in round three.Â
Cortez Herrera and Peter Zhang both finished their collegiate debuts strong, shaving six and three strokes, respectively, off their second-round scores.Â
UCR will next travel to the two-day Bill Cullum Invitational in Valencia, hosted by CSUN. The Highlanders will tee off from The Oaks Club on October 10 with live results available on Golfstat.Â
