FULLERTON, Calif. –
UC Riverside took its Big West schedule back on the road on Thursday afternoon in Fullerton, falling 51-42 at Titan Gym.

UCR came out with urgency off the opening tip in a nearly wire-to-wire first half, thanks to Jordan Webster scoring 10 of her 12 points across the first two quarters on 4-of-6 shooting. Webster's explosive first half came after her career-high 28 against Long Beach State on Saturday.

Matehya Bryant, though, was in her bag once more on the boards for UC Riverside. The Grand Canyon transfer recorded her third double double and fourth 10-rebound game of the season after going for 14 points and 14 rebounds in Thursday's matinee. Bryant's second half was a mirror of Webster's first, as Bryant notched 12 of her points and seven of her rebounds after halftime.

Three of Bryant's 10-rebound outings have now come away from the SRC Arena and two of the four have come in Big West play.

UC Riverside assisted on at least half of its field goals for the seventh time this year and second straight game. Mele Finau did much of the gritty work for UCR in Fullerton on Thursday with a block, six rebounds and a team-high four assists.

UCR will stay on the road for one more game before returning home, visiting CSUN on Saturday, January 7 at 2:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
