RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside bounced back on Wednesday afternoon at the SRC Tennis Courts with a 4-1 win over Westcliff. 

The Highlanders struggled in doubles competition with Joshua Roth and Antreas Djakouris being ahead 4-3 on two when Westcliff had clinched the first point of the afternoon. 

UCR responded in singles play with a pair of 6-4, 6-0 wins on one and two in addition to Aarav Sane's gutsy 7-5, 7-5 win on five. 

Daniel Velek picked up his second singles win of the season, while Joshua Roth was three points away from singles victory number three before UCR clinched the match. Justin Lamy dropped set one on four, but took the final two sets to improve to 6-1 this year in singles. 

UC Riverside will take almost two weeks off before hosting Army West Point on Tuesday, March 7 at 10:00 a.m. at the SRC Tennis Courts.
