RIVERSIDE, Calif. -
UC Riverside picked up a 66-63 overtime win over Cal State Fullerton on Saturday at the SRC Arena on a fitting night, as the Highlanders' first win since January 11 came on a night where UCR Athletics celebrated National Girls & Women in Sports Day. UCR made it two wins over the Titans in their last three matchups with both margins clocking at a combined six points.

UCR and Cal State Fullerton were both shot happy with more than 50 attempts per side, as UC Riverside improved to 4-1 when grabbing at least 27 rebounds and 2-1 when a Highlander goes for at least 20 points.

Zoe Tillery was UCR's catalyst from downtown with back-to-back triples in the second quarter that squashed a five-minute scoring drought. The momentum turned into a quick 8-0 run for the Highlanders, who had half their points come off the bench while clinging to a 20-17 lead with four minutes until halftime.

Anna Blount scored 19 points in the second half and returned to her double-digit scoring ways, finishing with a career-high 21 after sinking a pair of tying free throws with four seconds left to force overtime.

The Stockton native put up UCR's third 20-point individual performance of the season and first since Jordan Webster's 20 against UC San Diego on January 11.

UCR blanked the Titans 27-0 in bench points, led by 17 from Zoe Tillery, who augmented her stat line with four rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal. Tillery enjoyed a breakout game on Saturday while seeing at least 20 minutes for the fourth time in her last five games.

UC Riverside trailed for the majority of the fourth quarter after maxing out at a five-point lead in the contest. Blount came up clutch once more with a jumper at the 0:27 mark of overtime before RyAnne Walters iced it with two free throws.

UCR will hit the road on Thursday, February 9 for a 6:00 p.m. tipoff at UC Davis on ESPN+.Â
