RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside celebrated Anna Blount and Mele Finau on Senior Night at the SRC Arena on Thursday, falling 63-50 to Cal Poly in the regular season finale. 

UC Riverside would not let the 2022-23 regular season close without a fight, however. Cal Poly was equally matched in the first half with a 30-29 halftime score, thanks to the Highlanders scoring 20 of their 29 points in the paint - largely in part to the inside play of Matehya Bryant. 

Bryant, who finished her night one rebound shy of a double double, was a cool 6 of 7 from the field before halftime while Esther Matarranz continued pounding the boards with four rebounds. UCR ultimately shot 43.8 percent in the first half. 

The Mustangs figured out UCR's inside game plan after the break, holding UC Riverside powerless inside while taking advantage on the offensive end. 

Zoe Tillery put in her sixth consecutive multi-assist performance, ending her debut regular season campaign in the Inland Empire with a season-high five assists. 

With the regular season wrapped up, UCR will head to Henderson, Nevada for next week's Big West Championships at the Dollar Loan Center.
