UC Riverside Captures Second Straight Top Three Finish at Big West Championship

LAS VEGAS - UC Riverside collected its second consecutive top three finish at the Big West Championship on Tuesday at the Spanish Trail Country Club after shooting a 310 in Tuesday's final round.Â
UCR was tied for third with Cal State Fullerton with the Highlanders still needing to complete the last three holes, but four pars and a birdie from the Highlander lineup on 18 put UC Riverside one stroke ahead of the Titans on the final leaderboard.Â
Tiffany Le (70-75-74-219) captured her second consecutive top-four finish at the event while earning All-Tournament honors. The sophomore, along with older sister Nicole Le, shot 3.08 on par 3 holes for the tournament. Nicole finished tied for 11th.Â
Vanessa Betancourt finished tied for 14th and Mylan Hirata was the fourth Highlander to finish in the top 25, jumping two spots on day three to make the cut after shooting an 80 (+8).
