FULLERTON, Calif. - UC Riverside began the final road trip of the season on Saturday afternoon in Fullerton, dropping a 4-1 match at Titan Courts. 

The Highlanders dropped the doubles point before transitioning into singles play, where Sofia Lazzaroni captured her second straight Big West road singles bout with a 6-4, 6-1 win. 

Lazzaroni's win comes 10 days after the senior scored a 6-3, 7-5 win at UC Davis. 

Brionna Nguyen tied her match with a 6-3 win in set two and was up 2-1 when the match was abandoned. Over on four, Maya Youssef was a point away from her second singles win of conference play while Sydney Tran fell in a tough 7-6, 6-3 match on six. 

UC Riverside will finish out the regular season on Saturday with a 12:00 p.m. first serve from UC San Diego.
