RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside dropped a 6-1 decision to UC Irvine on Thursday afternoon at the SRC Tennis Courts. 

Sofia Lazzaroni is now unbeaten in her last three singles matches after a hard-fought match on four. Lazzaroni's rubber match went to a tiebreaker for a second straight time with the senior pulling out the win for the second straight Big West victory.

Lazzaroni is now 3-2 on the season and 2-1 in Big West play. 

Sydney Tran showed fight on court six in a 6-3, 6-4 defeat. 

UC Riverside is back on the court on Friday, April 7 with a 1:30 p.m. match against UC Santa Barbara.
