Round Two in La Quinta Suspended Due to Wind

LA QUINTA, Calif. - Round two of the 2023 Big West Men's Golf Championship was suspended on Monday due to excessive wind, as UC Riverside sits in ninth after two days at the La Quinta Country Club.Â
All five Highlanders have yet to complete round two with Josh Hu, Eric Cho and Maddox Yi through 16 while Mark Gao and Nikolas Kittilson are through 15. Hu was -4 at the turn on Tuesday with four birdies, including three straight on five, six and seven. He was one of three Highlanders to birdie the sixth hole, joining Eric Cho and Maddox Yi. Cho has shot for par on six of seven holes on the back nine so far.Â
Hu is UCR's leader in the clubhouse right now in a tie for 20th following his impressive front nine.Â
UCR's lineup will return to conclude round two on Tuesday at 7:30 .m. before round three begins at 8:00 a.m.Â
