Josh Hu Named Second Team All-Big West

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Josh Hu was named a Second Team All-Big West honoree by the Big West, it was announced Wednesday.Â
Hu earned his second consecutive Big West honor after being named Honorable Mention last season, and is the first First or Second Team honoree for UC Riverside since Brandon Tsujimoto's Second Team accolade in 2018.Â
Hu averaged a 71.77 stroke average in nine tournaments spread over 26 rounds in the 2022-23 season. He carded 17 of those 26 rounds at or under par, the most since Sam Gillis' 17 in the 2015-16 season and is one of four Highlanders in program history to do so.Â
The senior shot a 65 (-7) in round three of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational, tied for the third-lowest single-round score in program history - one of his seven rounds in the 60s. He finished in the top half of the leaderboard in eight of his nine tournaments, finishing 34th out of 66 at the UC Santa Barbara Collegiate before securing his second straight top-20 finish at the Big West Championship at the La Quinta Country Club.
