Women’s Golf Finishes Play at Inaugural National Golf Invitational

MARICOPA, Ariz. - UC Riverside shot a 17-over par on Sunday afternoon at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, finishing out the inaugural National Golf Invitational with a sixth-place finish at 35-over par.

Vanessa Betancourt was UCR's leader at the turn with birdies on two and five before carrying that momentum to a top-10 finish, tying for sixth. Betancourt shot a 72 (E) on Sunday while Nicole Le (75-74-76-225) finished in the top half of the leaderboard for the sixth time this season and fifth straight.

Betancourt jumped four spots on Sunday to mark her second top-10 finish of the year while Le finished her career with a third consecutive top-20 finish.
