Highlander Track & Field Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Awards

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside track and field was honored with several academic awards by the USTFCCCA. 

Both men's and women's teams earned All-Academic Team distinction with cumulative GPAs of 3.075 and 3.218, respectively, while UCR earned four individual honors. JT Ober III, who is pursuing his MBA from UC Riverside, was named an All-Academic Athlete while Shiloh Corrales Nelson, Collette Lowengrub and Linda Perez were all honored on the women's side. 

Corrales Nelson and Ober were two of four Highlanders overall this spring to earn their third Big West All-Academic honors of their careers, while Lowengrub and Perez joined in on the conference's All-Academic list as well. All four are fresh off representing UCR at the NCAA West Preliminaries in Arkansas, while Perez additionally took home the Big West title in the 1500 and Corrales Nelson won the shot put.
