
Men’s Golf Tied for 10th after Round One in Colorado

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - UC Riverside men's golf is tied for 10th at 10-over 298 after 18 holes at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational and the Eisenhower Golf Course.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kamaljit Singh was on his game in his collegiate debut, birdying his first hole and almost going bogey-free at the turn. The freshman finished his round with birdies on 15 and 18.
- Josh Hu carded three of his four birdies on the back nine and is tied for 24th heading into round two after shooting a 73 (+1).
- Maddox Yi registered both of his birdies on the back nine and shaved five strokes off his front nine score.
HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
- Singh is UCR's leader in the clubhouse, currently tied for 10th after shooting a 71 (-1).
- Three out of five Highlanders birdied the par-5 11th hole. Chanhee Ryu was one of them, carding two birdies on the day in his UC Riverside debut.
