LAS VEGAS, Nev. - UC Riverside wrapped up the third and final day of the UNLV Quad event on Sunday, January 28, facing their hosts at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. The Highlanders dropped the decision 4-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Highlanders were successfully edged out of doubles points by the Rebels. Aarav Sane and Ryan Huynh picked up three points and Joshua Roth and Justin Lamy grabbed a single point.
• Three singles matches went in straight sets to UNLV, but Hugo DeGrande put up a fight, pushing a break in his first set, before going unfinished.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS

• Lucas Ibarrando Suarez and DeGrande fought for their second doubles win in as many days until they went unfinished on three while trailing their opponents 4-3. 
• Justin Lamy and Ibarrando Suarez were both rebounding from first set losses when they went unfinished in singles. Lamy was ahead 5-2 and Ibarrando Suarez was tied 5-5 when the match was clinched.

UP NEXT

• UC Riverside is at the SRC Tennis Courts for the first time in 2024 next with a doubleheader against BYU on Friday, February 9. First serve in match number one is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
