HONOLULU – UC Riverside fell 3-0 to Hawai'i on Sunday night at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.  

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Kailyn Jager recorded back-to-back aces in set one to keep UCR close as the Highlanders trailed 11-9. 
• UCR hit .136 in set one with four assists each from Beatriz Silva and Hawai'i native Makena Tong.  
• UC Riverside got to within four points of the Rainbow Wahine in set two with one ace apiece from newcomers Jager and Brianna Bowyer.  
• The latter of those two aces came at the end of a 4-1 run that cut the deficit to 21-15.  
• Jessica Dean registered the back row kill out of a Highlander timeout in set three, sending UCR on a 4-0 run that cut the deficit to 17-14 and forced Hawai'i to call for a breather.  
• UC Riverside hit .259 in set three as Trinity Sheridan and Mia Delahoussaye combined for six of the team's nine kills in the frame.  

NOTABLES 

• Jager recorded a career-high four aces on Sunday night to go with seven digs and a kill. 
• Sheridan enjoyed her best offensive night of Big West play with a .321 hitting percentage against the Rainbow Wahine on 10 kills.
