SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The UC Riverside Highlanders fell to Santa Clara, 96-54, on Tuesday night at the Leavey Center.

- Despite strong efforts from Joel Armotrading, who led the Highlanders with 11 points, six rebounds, and two blocks, the team was unable to find consistent scoring against Santa Clara's defense.
- Barrington Hargress contributed 10 points and a team-high seven assists, while Rikus Schulte added 11 points off the bench, shooting a perfect 5-for-5 from the field. However, the Highlanders struggled to keep pace, being out-rebounded 45-28 and allowing Santa Clara to capitalize on second-chance opportunities.
- UC Riverside faced challenges in both halves, scoring 21 points in the first period and improving to 33 in the second.
- Armotrading's secured a season high 11 points against Santa Clara.
- Hargress collected a season high 7 assist and has scored 10 or more points in every game so far this season.
