PHOENIX, Ariz - UC Riverside picked up a trio of singles wins on Monday, but fell 4-3 to Idaho at the GCU Tennis Facility.  

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Niki Shahbazi and Sydney Tran went unfinished at doubles No. 2 while Shahbazi dropped a 6-4, 6-3 singles bout at No. 6 singles. 
• Brionna Nguyen and Crystal Kim bounced back from doubles losses to grab singles wins at No. 1 and No. 4, respectively. Kim's win came in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0.  
• Maya Youssef grabbed the Highlanders' third win of the afternoon with a resilient 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles.  

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS 

• UC Riverside won three singles bouts in a match for the first time since February 9 of last season. 
• Kim now owns both of the Highlanders' singles wins on the year.
