Highlanders Fall to CSUN in Rescheduled Match

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - UC Riverside made up a previously postponed match on Thursday afternoon at CSUN, falling 7-0 at the Matador Tennis Complex. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • Sydney Tran and Niki Shahbazi went unfinished at doubles No. 1 after being down just a point.  
  • Maya Youssef pushed through her first set at singles No. 2 to grab a 7-5 win in set one. Youssef and Kamya Nair both went up 1-0 in their singles matches.  
  • Crystal Kim forced her opponent into a tie break at singles No. 3.  

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS 

  • Shahbazi is now unbeaten in her last four doubles matches.  

UP NEXT 

  • UCR returns to the court on Monday, February 19 to host Azusa Pacific at 2:00 p.m. from the SRC Tennis Courts.
