HENDERSON, Nev. - UC Riverside fell, 86-67, to Long Beach State in Thursday night's quarterfinal matchup at the Big West Championship inside the Dollar Loan Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Four Highlanders scored in double figures on Thursday, led by a career-high 17 points from Vladimer Salaridze.
- UC Riverside began the night 5 of 6 from the field with four of its eight threes. The Highlanders went on a 7-0 run early to take a brief 12-10 lead on a layup from Salaridze.
- UCR held a 13-4 edge in points off turnovers in a game that featured six ties and 16 lead changes.

- Barrington Hargress scored 11 of his 12 points in the first half to help UCR storm out of the gate with much-needed energy.
- The Highlanders' leading scorer also notched a career high for the second straight game.
