Women's Basketball Set for WNIT

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Riverside women's basketball has been selected to participate in the 2024 WNIT and will begin play on Friday, March 22 at South Dakota. The Highlanders are WNIT-bound for the first time since 2015-16 when UCR finished with a 23-9 overall record.

UC Riverside is one of 48 teams in the field and one of 37 at-large qualifiers.

UCR was selected to finish 10th in this year's Big West preseason poll and defied the odds, ending the year with the three seed at the Big West Championship. UCR posted an 18-13 record in 2023-24, winning 13 of its final 17 regular season contests. The 12-game turnaround from last season is the largest in program history.

Friday's tipoff against the Coyotes is set for 5:00 p.m. PST from the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion, South Dakota.
