RIVERSIDE, Calif. – UC Riverside (4-15, 0-3 Big West) dropped a 5-1 decision on a sunny Saturday afternoon to UC San Diego (8-13, 1-0 Big West). 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Lucas Ibarrondo Suarez and Hugo DeGrande locked up a doubles victory on court three with a 6-2 score.  
• Justin Lamy grabbed UCR's lone singles win with a 6-4, 6-1 win on two to tie singles at one match apiece.  
• Suarez went unfinished at four after rallying back for a 6-3 win in set two.  
• Joshua Roth and DeGrande pushed their singles opponents to tiebreakers on courts one and five, respectively. 

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS 

• Suarez has now won back-to-back doubles matches after his win on three alongside DeGrande.  
• Lamy has also won two straight singles matches, both at two.
