LAS CRUCES, N.M. — The Highlanders continued its solid play Tuesday at the Golf Iconic Classic, carding a 7-over-par 295 in the second round to sit in 12th place heading into the final day at New Mexico State Golf Course.
Mitzi Duarte led the Highlanders with a 2-under 70, climbing into the top 20 at even par through 36 holes. Janna Andaya followed closely with a 1-under 71 to join Duarte for a tie at 15th.
Ivy Kim added a 75, while Maleyna Gregorio and Riley Shin rounded out the lineup with an 82 and 79, respectively.
UC Riverside stands at 8-over 584 (289–295) through two rounds in a tightly packed leaderboard, sitting just six strokes outside the top 10.
The Highlanders will close out the three-day event Wednesday with the final round in Las Cruces.
