UC Riverside Battles in Hard-Fought Loss to UC Davis, 74-75

DAVIS, Calif. — UC Riverside went toe-to-toe with UC Davis in a thrilling back-and-forth battle but came up just short in the final seconds, falling 75-74 on Tuesday night at the University Credit Union Center. The Highlanders remain strong in Big West play at 16-10 overall and 9-5 in conference action.

- Barrington Hargress led the Highlanders with 15 points, adding three assists and two steals, while Isaiah Moses matched him with 15 points and two steals.
- Kaleb Smith contributed 14 points on 5-for-9 shooting, including three three-pointers, while Joel Armotrading controlled the glass with six rebounds.
- The game was tightly contested throughout, featuring nine ties and 17 lead changes, with both teams making key plays down the stretch.
- UC Riverside held a 74-72 lead in the final minute after Moses converted a clutch layup with 1:27 remaining. UC Davis responded with a three-pointer at the 27-second mark to regain the lead.
