RIVERSIDE, Calif.- The Highlanders looked to bounce back after their loss to Hawai'I yesterday, as they faced UC Irvine at the SRC Tennis Courts. Last year, the Anteaters topped the Highlanders twice, with the second defeat coming in the Big West Conference Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• UC Irvine took the doubles point (6-2, 6-2), winning two of the three matches. The match featuring Chloe Vu and Niki Shahbazi went unfinished.
• Ramey Yu continued her winning ways, as she won her singles match, 6-4, 6-3.
• The other Highlander win, came from Crystal Kim, who took her match in three. After dropping the first set 3-6, Kim roared back to take set two 6-3. In the third, Kim took control and won 1-0 (10-6).
• Chloe Vu had a good match. After she dropped the first set 4-6, she came back and won the second set, 6-4. However, she dropped the tie break 1-0 (10-7).

UP NEXT

• No rest for the weary as the Highlanders are back at it on Saturday, February 22 at 10:30am at the SRC. They take on Nevada, and this match was postponed earlier this year due to weather.
