
UCR Captures Second Straight Win

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Highlanders returned to the SRC Tennis Courts today for an afternoon match against Hope International University. The game, originally scheduled for 2 p.m., started late due to weather. UCR won 7-0 and remained undefeated (8-0) against the Royals.Â

- The Highlanders took the doubles point, winning all three matches: 6-1, 6-0, 6-2.
- Kei Kato and Sam Condevillamar won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0.
- Niki Shahbazi won her singles match after dropping the first set 6-7. She took the second set 6-4 and the third 1-0 (10-8).
- Ramey Yu continued her winning ways in singles matches, winning 6-2, 6-0.
- "Always nice to start building a winning streak and I like the focus from the ladies today to get the W on each and every court."
- UCR returns to action on Thursday, February 13 when Nevada rolls into Riverside. Match time is noon.
