UC Riverside Holds Ninth After Two Rounds at UC San Diego Invitational

LA JOLLA, Calif. — The UC Riverside Highlanders posted a second-round 305 (+17) Tuesday at the 2025 UC San Diego Invitational, bringing their two-round total to 608 (+32) and holding ninth place out of 20 teams heading into Wednesday's final round at Torrey Pines South Course.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Hartej Grewal remained steady for the Highlanders, carding a second-straight 74 (+2) to sit tied for seventh place at 148 (+4) overall.
Von Wasson matched his opening round with another 76 (+4) and is now tied for 30th at 152 (+8).
Liam Hartling and Stephen Luo each shot in the mid-70s again, with Hartling adding a 77 (+5) and Luo a 78 (+6). Both are currently tied for 42nd at 154 (+10).
Mark Gao rounded out the Highlanders' scoring with an 81 (+9) in the second round. He enters the final day tied for 74th at 158 (+14).
