ST. GEORGE, Utah – The UC Riverside Highlanders put together a solid opening round at SUU Pizza Hut Invitational, led by Maleyna Gregorio's even-par 72. The Highlanders showcased consistency across the lineup, with multiple players finishing inside the top 10 after the first round.

- Maleyna Gregorio led the charge for UC Riverside, posting an even-par 72, placing her tied for second in the individual standings.
- Janna Andaya followed closely behind, carding a 73 (+1) to finish tied for sixth after the first round.
- Sofia Vargas and Mitzi Duarte each shot 74 (+2), landing in a tie for ninth place as they kept the Highlanders within striking distance.
