
Kiger Fires Even-Par to Lead the Highlanders After Round Two of Big West Championship

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The UC Riverside Highlanders made a slight improvement on Monday at Spanish Trail Country Club, carding a 300 (+12) in Round Two—three shots better than Sunday's opening 303. With a 36-hole total of 603 (+27), the Highlanders sit in seventh place heading into the final round.

- Gabrielle Kiger shot a clean 72 (E) in Round Two, highlighted by a birdie on the ninth and a strong seven par finish. She jumped eight spots into a tie for 11th overall with rounds of 76-72.
- Janna Andaya, the Round One leader for UCR with an even-par 72, shot 79 (+7) on Monday and sits tied for 23rd.
- Maleyna Gregorio bounced back with a 74 (+2), closing with a birdie on 11 and 18. She moved up two spots to sit tied for 26th.
- Mitzi Duarte and Sofia Vargas each carded 77 (+5). Vargas joined the lineup in place of Sophia Luna and delivered a counting score with nine pars and a back-nine 38.
