SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Highlanders hit the road for two Big West Conference matches against UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly SLO. This afternoon the Highlanders played a solid Gauchos team and fell, 4-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Highlanders got off to a great start taking the doubles point 2-1. Justin Lamy and Ryan Huynh won their match 6-4. Aarav Sane and Lucas Ibarrondo Suarez took their match in thrilling fashion 7-6 (7-5).
• UCR was blanked in singles competition 4-0, with two matches, featuring Sane and Lucas Mszyca, going unfinished.

• UCR heads north of Santa Barbara for a 12:00 p.m. match against Cal Poly SLO.
