UC Riverside Athletics Launches National Search for Director of UCR Men’s and Women’s Golf

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – UC Riverside Athletics has  announced it will conduct a national search for its next Director of UCR Men's and Women's Golf following the departure of former longtime Director of Golf, Mary Ritchie.

"UC Riverside Athletics is grateful for Coach Ritchie's dedication and commitment to the development of our student-athletes, both on and off the course and we wish her all the best with her new opportunity at Fresno State," said Director of Athletics, Wesley Mallette. "A big thank you to Mary for a decade plus leading our program and building our students and community support for the program."

During her tenure, Ritchie led the women's team to its first Big West Championship in 2016, produced three NCAA Regional qualifiers, and coached UCR's first-ever NCAA Championship participant in Tiffany Le, who placed 19th nationally in 2023. She also guided the men's team to a Big West title in 2016 as interim coach and was named LPGA Western Section Coach of the Year three times, earning the LPGA National Coach of the Year honors in 2016.

The search for the next head coach of UC Riverside's golf programs is underway.
