
Ptarmigan Ram Classic Ends Early for the Highlanders Due to Weather

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — The Highlanders closed out the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic on Tuesday, finishing 13th overall after weather forced the cancellation of the final round at Ptarmigan Golf and Country Club.
Janna Andaya led the Highlanders with rounds of 73 and 75 to post a 4-over 148, good for a tie for 31st in a field of nearly 80 golfers. Mitzi Duarte followed closely behind with a 150 after opening with a 73 and adding a 77 in round two.
Maleyna Gregorio contributed a 154, highlighted by a 2-over 74 in the opening round, while Ivy Kim finished at 157 and freshman Lauren Lee bounced back from her first-round 83 to card an 80 in round two.
The Highlanders posted rounds of 295 and 312 for a two-day total of 607 before storms cut the tournament short.
Up next the Highlanders head to Tacoma, Washington to compete in the Seattle U Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational.
