Highlanders Drop Season Opener to Houston

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Highlanders hosted Houston today at the SRC Tennis Courts for the season opener. This was the first time UCR played Houston in women's tennis as the Cougars topped the Highlanders, 4-0. Camile Li, Katarina Curcic and Susannah Su all made the UCR debuts this morning.

- Houston won the doubles point, 2-0. The match featuring Ramey Yu and Kei Kato went unfinished at 6-6.
- Kato's match on court 2 went unfinished. She won the first set 6-3 and was tied in the second 3-3.
- Crystal Kim and Ramey Yu's singles matches both went unfinished in the second set.
