LAS VEGAS, Nev. – UC Riverside traveled to UNLV for matches against UNLV, New Mexico State and Weber State. To open things up, the Highlanders faced the host Rebels this morning at the Fertitta Tennis Center. UNLV took the match, 4-0.
How it happened:
- The Highlanders dropped the doubles point. The match featuring Jovan Pedroza and Andrew Lavine went unfinished, 4-4.
- Ivaylo Simeonov dropped his match to No. 34 Ilia Snitari 4-6, 2-6.
- In singles competition the matches featuring Lavine, Owen Pearson and Michael Chang went unfinished.
- Chang's singles match went to three sets (6-1, 0-6, 1-1)
