Highlanders Drop Conference Opener to Hawai'i

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The Highlanders hosted the Rainbow Warriors today at the SRC Tennis Courts for a morning match. This match was supposed to be played yesterday, but because of the weather it got postponed to today. Hawai'i took the match, 4-0.

How it happened:

The Highlanders dropped the doubles point, 2-0. It was close and the match featuring Lucas Ibarrondo Suarez and Ivaylo Simeonov went unfinished with them up 5-4.
Clean sweep for Hawai'i in single competition with the matches featuring Andrew Lavine, Noris Nedelcovici and Michael Chang going unfinished. Chang almost pushed his match to a third set and Lavine was about to start the third.

Up next for the Highlanders is Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Sunday. Match time is 10:00 am.
