Ryan Carter

Ryan Carter joins UCR’s Golf programs for his first year on staff in 2024-25. 

Carter was a staple on various professional tours all around the world, also serving on the player board of the Tar Heel Tour from 2006-10. He played on the Canadian Tour (2006-10), European Challenge/European Tour (2008-11), One Asia Tour (2012-17) and Australasian Tour (2016-18). 

Overall, Carter competed in over 16 European Tour events, 5 Nationwide/Buy.com events and multiple events on the Sunshine, TLA and Asian Tours. During Carter's professional playing career,  he won 20 times world-wide. 

Carter was a First Team All-WAC selection, two-time NCAA Academic selection and Scholastic All-American at Fresno State, where he was the team captain and was additionally an All-Southwest Region Team selection. Carter also owns one of the lowest 54-hole scores in program history, shooting a 203 (-13) at the 2004-05 Ping Golf Cougar Classic. 

Carter was also instrumental in Fresno State's number seven national ranking heading into the 2001-02 NCAA Championship, where the program finished tied for 21st.
