Sergio Romero enters his third season as an assistant coach with UC Riverside Men's and Women's Tennis in 2024-25.
Romero comes to UCR from Hope International, where he helped lead recruiting, team budgeting/fundraising and scheduling efforts for both the Royals' men's and women's programs since August of 2019.
Romero led HIU's women's team to its first NAIA nationals appearance in doubles and first national ranking, simultaneously producing the first All-Golden State Athletic Conference honoree in program history and two-time All-American Simon Campos.
Romero also served as the head professional at Fullerton Tennis Center, where he offered private lessons and organized group lessons.
