Kiarra Crockett-Pope

2019 Big West Co-Freshman Field Player of the Year Kiarra Crockett-Pope joined the Highlander softball family in the summer of 2022 after an outstanding four-year career at CSUN. 

She enters her third year on a Division I staff and second with UC Riverside in 2024. 

Crockett-Pope came to UCR after helping guide Loyola Marymount to a 37-17 record in 2022 and its first West Coast Conference title in program history before an NCAA Regional appearance at UCLA, where the Lions downed (RV) Ole Miss in the opener. 

The Long Beach native burst onto the college softball season at CSUN, taking home Big West Co-Freshman Field Player of the Year, Big West All-Freshman and Big West All-Second Team honors in 2019. She logged eight home runs, tying her for sixth in the league with Long Beach State's Nichole Fry while hitting .305 with four home runs and 10 RBIs in league play. Crockett-Pope started 12 of 14 appearances in the Matadors' shortened 2020 season before opting out of 2021 after four games due to COVID-19 concerns. 

A 2018 graduate of Cerritos High School, Crockett-Pope earned First Team Division 2 All-CIF distinction, HMG-Community News Player of the Year and HMG-Community News First Team All-Area as a senior. She was also a four-time First Team All-Suburban League honoree and three-time Suburban League champion.
