Lexi Morales

Alexia (Lexi) Morales was hired as an assistant coach for the UC Riverside softball team in October 2024. She oversees the development of the outfield and the left-handed hitters and slappers.

In her first season with UCR, the Highlanders UC Riverside had its best six-game Big West start in program history at 5-1.

Morales joined the UCR softball program with an impressive background as a standout outfielder during her collegiate career at UTEP from 2020-2024. During her time at UTEP, she slashed a .308 overall batting average, had a .427 slugging percentage, and a .423 on-base percentage. She closed her career ranked third in program history with 98 career walks, third with six career sacrifice flies, fifth with a .423 on-base percentage, and fifth with 38 career doubles.

In addition to her on-field achievements, Morales was a consistent performer academically. She was named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll from 2021 through 2024 and was a recipient of the Conference USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal from 2021 through 2024. She was also a member of the Conference USA All-Academic Team from 2022 through 2024. Morales earned Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete honors from 2021 through 2024 and was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team in 2023 and 2024.

Morales earned her Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science with a concentration in Biology and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Forensic DNA Analysis and Serology.
