Mia Longfellow joined the UC Riverside Highlanders coaching staff in September of 2008 after serving one year as the undergraduate assistant coach for the Oregon State Beavers, working primarily with the infielders.
Longfellow played four seasons for the Beavers spending most of her time at shortstop, but also playing left field and third base on occasion.
Among the eight single-season and career records that she held upon her graduation are career hits (227) and singles (177) marks. Longfellow also led the Beavers in stolen bases in each of her four seasons. Oregon State competed in the NCAA Regional in all four of her years with the program and advanced to the College World Series in 2006.
Longfellow graduated from Oregon State with a double major in education and human development family science. In addition to her position with the Highlanders, the San Diego native also plays professionally for the ProFastpitch X-Treme Tour (PFX).
