Michell Vlahos

Michell Vlahos joined the UC Riverside softball staff as assistant coach in September of 2011.

Most recently, Vlahos was an assistant coach at NAIA powerhouse Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) under Head Coach Terri Knecht.

While at SCAD, she was responsible for on-field duties in the Bee's outfield, implementing the slap offense, and instructing the conditioning program while also serving as the program's recruiting and travel coordinator.

In three season with SCAD, Vlahos coached one All-American and five all-conference performers.

Prior to her time in Savannah, Vlahos spent two years as an assistant coach at Utah State under current UC Riverside Coach Candi Letts. Vlahos was responsible for coaching the outfielders, assisting in video analysis, and instructing at daily practices and games.

Vlahos played collegiate softball at Texas Tech before transferring to Utah State. She ended her career with a .291 batting average and is just one of three Aggies to record five RBI in a single game.

Vlahos graduated from Utah State with her bachelor's degree in psychology in 2005, and is currently pursuing a master's.

She prepped at St. Francis High School in Sacramento, CA, where she led the team to four CIF runner-up finishes.
