Fabrice Sene

French native Fabrice Sene, joined the sideline of the UC Riverside’s Women Basketball Team in June of 2014. During his first season he quickly impacted the athletics program by helping the Highlanders to a 17-13 record.

Sene’s first recruit, Michelle Curry of Los Angeles, CA was named Freshman of The Year in 2014-15 season. Sene also recruited 6’1 French national Rejane Verin (UNLV transfer), who also was named Freshman of the Year in the Mountain West Conference.

In his second year, Sene helped guide the UCR women's basketball team to a new high by winning the regular season championship with a historic record of 16-0 in league play, and an overall record of 23-9. The team came up short in the postseason, where only seven players were able to play due to injuries.

At the conclusion of his third season at UCR in 2016, the team finished in fifth place in the conference and reached the quarterfinals of big west conference event.

In three years at UC Riverside, Coach Sene helped the program register an overall record of 56-38, 33-15 in the Big West. As a fourth year Assistant Coach for UCR’s Women Basketball team, Sene continues to recruit top talent with his international recruiting influence.

Sene’s professional basketball career helped to develop his experience in international recruitment. He graduated with his Masters in Mathematics in Orleans, France and taught math at Santa Monica High School and Marymount High Schoolprior to starting his college coaching career. While teaching Mathematics, Sene was
also the head coach for the women’s basketball teams.
