Hasten Beamer

Hasten Beamer was named an assistant coach for UC Riverside women's basketball in September of 2021 and enters his third season on the bench in 2023-24.

Prior to accepting the position at UCR,  Beamer spent three years working under NBA Player Development coach Phil Beckner. Over those three years, Beamer assisted directly in the on-court development of NBA players, including Damian Lillard, Mikal Bridges, Matisse Thybulle, Anfernee Simons, Tim Frazier, Wesley Matthews, and others. His work with these athletes included on-court workouts along with video and film development.
 
During his time working in player development, Beamer served as an assistant for NBA Pre-Draft Development for different players, this includes working with players like Jarrett Culver, Lu Dort, Naji Marshall and more as they prepared for the NBA Draft.
 
During the summer of 2019, Beamer spent time assisting USA Basketball’s Junior National Team during minicamp, where he helped manage film breakdowns, scheduling, and assisting the lead coaches with day-to-day operations.
 
Beamer started out as a student manager, where he spent three years under Coach Powell at Grand Canyon from 2017-2020, assisting with on-court player development for the coaching staff, along with film breakdown and scouting reports.
